Tour DetailsDay 01: Arrival at DelhiOn arrival at the Delhi Airport, you will be welcomed by our representative and transferred to the hotel, where you will check in and stay for the night. Delhi, the capital city of India, is the hub of political and cultural activities. The city has served as the seat of power for numerous rulers for centuries, throughout the Indian history. Hence the city is studded with many magnificent monuments, such as Qutub Minar, Humayun tomb, Birla temple, Red Fort, India Gate etc. Day 02: Delhi sightseeingAfter a scrumptious breakfast at hotel, the full day guided city tour of the city will commence. The tour will include visit to Red Fort (Drive past), Jama Masjid, which is India's largest mosque and also Raj Ghat, the site where Father of Nation 'Mahatma Gandhi' was cremated. Later, you will also visit Birla Temple, Bahai Temple, Qutab Minar and Humayun Tomb. The newly built spectacular Akshardham Temple will also be covered in this tour. This enchanting shrine has been constructed with marble and red sandstone that has been carved with incredible finesse. The temple is a great place to get acquainted with Hindu mythology and Indian culture. During the tour you will also have chance to visit Rashtrapati Bhavan, Parliament House and Chandni Chowk. Overnight stay will be at the hotel in Delhi. Day 03: Delhi - AmritsarThe day will begin with early morning breakfast, after which you will be driven to the railway station to board train 2029 Swarn Shatabdi Express, which leaves at 0720 hours for Amritsar and arrives there at 1325 hours. Harmandir Sahib, known as the Golden Temple is the main tourist attraction of Amritsar. It is considered one of the most significant pilgrimage sites, as per the Sikh religion. On arrival you will be driven to the hotel. In afternoon, you will visit the international Indo-Pak boarder, known as Wagha Border. Here you will have a chance to witness the spectacle of the Beating Retreat and Change of Guard ceremonial military procedures; these are quite fascinating to watch. After the commencement of the ceremony, you will be dropped at the hotel in Amritsar for overnight stay. Day 04: AmritsarAfter a filling traditional Punjabi breakfast, the half day sightseeing tour of Amritsar will begin. During the tour, you will visit the sacred Golden Temple. Its foundation stone was kept by the fourth Guru of Sikhs, Guru Ramdas but was completed in the time of his successor, Guru Arjan Dev. The place is open for people of all of religions and is visited by devotees from around the world. They come here to pay homage to the Guru Granth Sahib and take a dip in the Amrit Saras Kund (Pool of Immortality) for cleansing of the soul. You will also be visiting Jallian Wala Bagh, a site made famous due to the massacre of thousands of peaceful protesters, during the British rule, at the hands of General Dyer, in 1919. He ordered his troops to fire on innocent people, without leaving any chance of them to escape. Today the place has been converted into a large garden and a memorial has been erected to honor the martyrs. The overnight stay will be at the hotel in Amritsar. Day 05: Amritsar - HaridwarThe day will begin with appetizing breakfast at the hotel, after which you will be driven to the Amritsar railway station, from here you will board the 2054 Jan Shatabdi Express for Haridwar, which arrives there at 1355 hours. The city of Haridwar is held in great reverence, as it is placed where the holy Ganges arrives in the plains from the lofty Shiwalik Range. As per Hindu mythology, the nectar of immortality, which was obtained by churning of the ocean, fell in four places on earth and Haridwar is considered as one of them. Every 12 years to mark the occasion a huge religious fair, the Kumbha Mela, is organized here, which is attended by millions of devotees, who bathe in the Ganges, during this event. A similar event on a much smaller level is organized here every 6 years, it is known as the Ardh (half) Kumbh. On arrival at Haridwar, you will be transferred to the hotel and after check in you will have rest of the day to yourself. You will spend the night at Haridwar. Day 06: HaridwarThe day will begin with delightful breakfast and later the Haridwar sightseeing tour will commence. Some of the main attractions of the city are pristine Ganga Ghats, temples and ashrams. Most significant among them are Chandi Devi Temple, Mansa Devi Temple, Bharat Mata Temple, Sapta Rishi Ashram and Sapt Sarovar, Ma Anandamayee Ashram and Patanjali Yogpeeth (Trust). In evening you will have the opportunity to watch breathtaking and ceremonious Ganga Aarti being performed at the Har Ki Pauri. The overnight stay will be at the hotel in Haridwar. Day 07: Haridwar - Rishikesh - HaridwarAfter early morning breakfast, the Rishikesh excursion will commence. Rishikesh is another sacred Hindu, pilgrimage site, where hoards of sadhus (sages) can be seen practicing spiritualism in form yoga and prayers. Situated on the banks of river Ganga, who is considered a Goddess, this place has become a Mecca for all Indian as well as international visitors, who wish to learn yoga, due to the presence of various experts in the field. Gradually it has also become a center for the adventure sports activities in India such as, canoeing, rafting etc. Here you will be visiting Ram Jhoola, Laxman Jhoola, Ashrams like Geeta Ashram, Swarg Ashram, Saptarishi Ashram, Sivanand Ashram. Thereafter, in evening you will return back to Haridwar, where you will spend the night at the hotel. Day 08: Haridwar - MathuraAfter breakfast, you will be driven to the Haridwar railway station, where you will board the train 18478 Kalinga Utkal Express to Mathura (it leaves at 0600 hours and arrives in Mathura, at 1430 hours). On arrival you will be taken to the hotel and after check in, you will have some time to freshen up. Later the city of will begin. As per Hindu mythology, Mathura is considered the birthplace of Lord Krishna. Besides the Hindus and Jains, the Buddhists also hold the city in high reverence. Here you will be visiting Sri Krishna Janmabhoomi Temple, Archaeological Museum, the Vishram Ghat and the Dwarkadeesh Temple, besides various other temples and ashrams. You will spend the night at the hotel in Mathura. Day 09: Mathura - Vrindavan - AgraAfter early morning breakfast, the excursion tour to Vrindavan will begin. This place is associated with the early years of Lord Krishna and it is believed that he performed many of his miracles here. The drive will take around 1.15 hours, as you will be covering a distance of around 56 km. Madan Mohan Temple and Banke Bihari Temple are the two main attractions of Vrindavan. The first is the oldest existing temple of the city and is related to Saint Chaitnya, while the later is dedicated to Lord Krishna. In afternoon, you will be driven to Agra, known for the spectacular monument dedicated to eternal love "Taj Mahal". On arrival at Agra, you will check into the hotel and spend the night there. Day 10: Agra - VaranasiIn the morning delicious breakfast will be served for you at the hotel, after which you will begin the city tour of Agra. Your first stop will be the ostentatious Taj Mahal. This spectacular edifice was constructed by Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan in the memory for his beloved wife Mumtaj Mahal, in 1630. This monument has indescribable beauty, and changes its hues with progression of the day. In early morning it seems to have a pinkish glow, by afternoon, it becomes milky white, whereas, in late evening it seems to have a golden glow. Next on the tour is the majestic Red fort. This impressive citadel stands on the banks of river Yamuna and was constructed by Emperor Akbar in 1566. You will also see Itmad-ud-Daula Tomb, the tomb of Emperor Jahangir's favorite wife Noor Jahan’s father. This was the first mausoleum, in the country to be built completely out of marble and many of its architectural features were replicated, refined and incorporated in the design of Taj Mahal. Late in the evening, you will be driven to the Agra railway station, where you will board the train 14864 Marudhar Express at 2120 hours for Varanasi. You will spend the night onboard the train. Day 11: VaranasiThe train will arrive at around 0820 hours in Varanasi and you will be met there by our representative, who will transfer you to the hotel. After check in, you will take brief rest and later in afternoon an excursion to Sarnath will be organized, to reach this destination you will have to cover the distance of around 10 km. Sarnath is one of the major centers of Buddhism in India, it was here that Lord Buddha gave his first sermon, after attaining enlightenment. Here you will also pay a visit to the deer park and the museum. In evening return to Varanasi and watch the spectacular aarti ceremony, being performed on the banks of river Ganga. Overnight stay will be at the hotel in Varanasi. Day 12: VaranasiBefore breaking of the dawn, you will be taken on a boat ride on the Ganges, where you will see various Ghats (banks) of the river, which are used for bathing and as cremation sites. Also witness the beautiful sunrise at the riverfront, while boating. On return to the hotel, you will be served, delectable breakfast, after which, the city tour will commence. Varanasi has the distinction of being one of the oldest cities in the world. It’s a city of temples, where spirituality and devotion reach their zenith. Some of the major attractions here are Durga temple, Tulsi Manas Mandir, Kashi Vishwanah Temple, Sankat Mochan Temple. You will also visit the Benaras Hindu University, which houses an exquisite art gallery, along with the mosque of Moghul Empero. You will spend the night at the hotel in Varanasi. Day 13: Varanasi - AllahabadThe day will begin with breakfast at the hotel; later you will be driven to Allahabad. Once there, you will check into the hotel and after brief rest, go out for the excursion of the city’s surrounding attractions. First on the list is a visit to the Sangam (where River Ganges, River Yamuna and the mythological Saraswati merge). After this you will be visiting Allahabad fort and the Ashoka pillar, along with various other temples and Ghats in the city. Overnight stay will be at the hotel in Allahabad. Day 14: Allahabad - AyodhayaAfter a filling breakfast, your 4 hour journey to Ayodhaya will commence. In this drive you will be covering a distance of around 150 km. Ayodhaya, is believed to be the birth place of Lord Rama, who is considered an incarnation of Lord Vishnu. This town is considered one of the seven major Hindu pilgrimage sites in India. On arrival, check into the hotel and after brief rest, the city tour will commence. It will include attractions like Ram Janma Bhoomi, Hanuman Temple, Seetha Temple, Ammaji Mandir and other places. Overnight stay will be at the hotel in Ayodhaya. Day 15: Ayodhaya - LucknowAfter breakfast, you will be driven to the railway junction at Lucknow, from where you will board the Shatabdi Express (train) for Delhi. By late evening, you will reach Delhi, where our representative will pick you up from the station and will transfer you to the hotel. Check in and overnight stay at the hotel. Day 16: Delhi DepartureYou will be served breakfast at the hotel, later as per your schedule, you will be driven to the Delhi international airport to board the flight for your onward journey.
