Tour DetailsDay 01: Arrival at Ahmedabad - Bhavnagar - PalitanaYou will be provided with pickup facility from Ahmedabad airport or hotel and driven directly to Palitana, which will include, travel time of around 4 hours and you will be covering a distance of around 203 Km. En route a brief stopover will be made at the Bhavnagar’s Takhteshwar temple, which is marvelous shrine dedicated to Lord Shiva and was built around 1893. Thereafter you will once again resume your journey, on arrival at Palitana and check in at hotel, you shall be escorted to the Shatrunjaya hills in order to visit the famous Jain temples located at its summit. To reach these architectural and sculptural gems, you’ll have to climb a 600m long staircase. These shrines are around 863 in number and many of them were built as early as 11th-15th century. In evening you will return to the hotel, for overnight stay. Day 02: Palitana - SomnathAfter a scrumptious breakfast at the hotel, your 5 to 6 hours journey towards Somnath will commence, during which you’ll be covering a distance of around 267 Km. After checking into the hotel on arrival, you will be given time to freshen up, later visit the ancient and sacred Somnath temple, which is considered one of the 12 Jyotirlings of Lord Shiva. You can participate in the evening aarti if you like. Later if time allows make sure to visit city’s museum, where several exhibits depicting the history and culture of this temple town, have been kept on display. Another significant site in the city is the Junagarh Gate, which served as the entrance to the city in ancient times, it is well known for its architectural grandeur. The overnight stay will be at the Somnath hotel. Day 03: Somnath - Porbandar - DwarkaYou will served an early morning breakfast after which, your journey towards Dwarka, will commence, which will be completed in around 5 hours and you’ll be covering a distance of around 230 km. En route a brief stoppage will be made at Kirti temple, in Porbandar. Kirti temple was Mahatma Gandhi’s home, where he was born and brought up. Today, it houses a museum in which various items of his personal use and photographs have been kept on display. Then visit the only Sudama temple in India. Later, continue your journey to the ancient and holy capital city Dwarka, it is believed to have been established by Lord Krishna. On arrival, you will check into the hotel. Later the afternoon city tour will begin; it will include various religious as well as natural sites like Gomti River, Dwarkadheesh Temple, Okha Port, Nageshwar, Gopi Pond, Rukhmani Temple and Bet Dwarka Temple. Overnight stay will be at the hotel in Dwarka. Day 04: Dwarka - RajkotThe day will begin early with Darshan at Dwarkadheesh Temple, where you can participate in the morning aarti. Later return to the hotel, where a filling breakfast will be served for you. Thereafter, you will be driven to Rajkot, which is situated at a distance of around 232 km from Rajkot. The journey will take around 5 hours to complete. On arrival, after check in at the hotel, you will have time to rest. Later, the afternoon city tour of Rajkot will commence. It will include various interesting sites like Jalaram Temple at Virpur. It is named after the great social reformer Jalaram Bapa. The overnight stay will be at the hotel in Rajkot. Day 05: Rajkot - AhmedabadAfter an appetizing breakfast in the morning, you will be driven back to Ahmedabad and dropped off at the hotel or airport, depending on your plans.
