Tour DetailsDay 01: Arrival at CochinAfter you arrive at Cochin International Airport, our representative will greet you and escort you to the hotel. Make a check-in and spend the night at the hotel after having a scrumptious dinner.  © Adam Jones @ flickr Day 02: Cochin - MunnarHave a luscious morning meal at the hotel, after which you'll leave for Munnar, an exquisite hill station amidst the green Kerala. Munnar is world renowned for its beautiful tea-growing estates, fertile plantations and lush green landscapes. Upon arrival, you'll check-in at the pre-booked hotel and of the time relaxing. Periyar is a renowned national park and wildlife sanctuary, spread over about 777 sq km and set high in the Cardamom Hills and Pandalam Hills of the southern Western Ghats. The wildlife sanctuary is alive with exotic flora and lively wildlife. After you arrive at Periyar, check-in at the hotel and freshen up. Unwind and relax at the hotel room. Overnight will be spent at the hotel.  © Pranav @ flickr Day 05: Periyar - KumarakomEarly in the morning, you'll be taken for a boat cruise on the serene Periyar Lake, sited in heart of the Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary. The lake is a manmade reservoir created by a dam on Periyar River. While sailing through the lake, you can spot the exotic national park, like wild elephants, Asiatic deer, black buck and tigers. After this exciting cruise, you'll return to the hotel for a scrumptious breakfast. Relax for a while at the hotel and move on Kumarakom, an enchanting backwater destination lines with low-lying palms and paddy fields. Kumarakom is set amidst the Vembanad Lake. Upon your arrival at Kumarakom, check-in at the hotel and spend the rest of the time at leisure. In the afternoon, you'll board the traditional houseboats, locally known as Ketuvallam, and start your journey sailing through the pristine backwaters of Kumarakom. While cruising through the serene backwaters, you'll get to know the way of life and activity of the local people in this southern part of India. You'll be served with traditional Kerala dishes at dinner as you flow through the backwaters. Thereafter, you'll cruise to Alleppey, another attractive backwater destination. Enjoy a fun-filled sailing trip through the tranquil backwaters. Later, disembark at the Puthenagady Jetty and drive towards Poovar. Poovar Island is a captivating resort enclosed by mesmerizing backwaters, offering and scenic beauty. The land around Poovar is profuse in flora, with several species of spices, exotic flowers, banana and coconut trees. After you reach Poovar, our representative will help you in making a check-in at the resort. Freshen up and spend the remaining time at leisure. While spending leisure time on the beach, you can pursue your own activities or wander around the place to explore the stunning surroundings. Return to the resort for dinner and sleepover.  Day 09: Poovar - Trivandrum DepartureOn the last day of your Kerala houseboat tour, you'll be served with an appetizing breakfast at the resort.
